Glaze is a challenger haircare brand, and in 2023 it launched into the care category with GlaziPlex, a clinically proven bond repair treatment. In collaboration with the Chief Brand Officer, I managed the creative expression and visual identity of the project from concept to completion.

 

During the initial stages, I was developing the franchise logo, iconography and graphic elements for the product, and eventually applying all to both primary and secondary packaging artwork. During the next phase, I worked on a creative concept for the launch campaign, covering still life imagery, video and CGI production. Our aim with the CGI footage was to capture the Quadbond Technology in a visually engaging way, whilst also creating content for educational purposes, illustrating how the the damage repair works at the deepest level inside the hair strand.

 

We concluded the production by delivering model photography, showcasing the before vs. after effects of the formula. As we started to shape the 360 view of the launch campaign, my team supported on developing adapted assets and infographics for all channels and purposes.

Alongside the Chief Brand Officer and our Scientific Director, I worked with a CGI artist on the creative concept and visualisation of some more technical content. Our aim with the CGI footage was to capture the Quadbond Technology in a visually engaging way, whilst also creating content for educational purposes, illustrating how the damage repair works at the deepest level inside the hair cuticle.

ART DIRECTION

Alongside the CGI production, I was also responsible for concepting and delivering still life, video and model imagery. I developed the brief and creative concept for all the launch assets, seeing the production throgh end-to-end.

PRESS RELEASE

Utilising still life and model imagery captured for the campaign, I designed a press release ahead of the launch that was printed and distributed to both press and influencers together with a full-size GlaziPlex Super Bond Repair Treatment.

NEWSLETTER DESIGN

Earlier in the year, I developed a comprehensive new set of newsletter templates for the brand, covering modules for educational purposes, editorial content and new product launches. These new templates were utilised for the campaign launch, showcasing GIFs, infographics,  before & afters, and reviews.

CROSS-CHANNEL ASSET DEVELOPMENT

As we started to shape the 360 view of the launch campaign, under my guidance the team supported on developing adapted assets and infographics for our D2C, social channels and retailer partners.
